Creating a Green Wall
Our new client has given us several projects starting with building a walled garden.This easy to assemble system from PlantBox required a flat surface to be mounted on. However this was not possible due to external drain pipe. So a bespoke backing frame was constructed.
The bottom of the frame was left open to allow for ventilation and waterproof membrane added between the planters and the frame to ensure that no moisture permutated the wall which could otherwise cause damp issues.
While building we took the opportunity to connect up the rainwater downpipe and tap off it to self water the planters. On the bottom of the planters a small guttering system was setup to feed any excess water back into the open drain.
On another part of the back garden we further utilised dead wall space with some additional planters.
