Green (Lawn) with Envy
The next stage of our exciting garden makeover is addressing the lawn. Over time, the lawn had fallen victim to weeds, lumps, bumps and holes where animals had been digging.
To start, the lawn was scalped off to reveal the topsoil. 35 bags later it was done, which meant we could use a cultivator on the soil to breakup / air-rate and soften the earth in readiness for filling and rollering.
During the levelling process, top quality compost was laid over the freshly cultivate soil. Once roughly raked and levelled, it was the rollered. After which it was time to lay the new lawn. The client had ordered a top quality turf that had been cut 24 hours before making the process easier and the end outcome more desirable.
Once in situ the lawn was then re-rollered and where necessary, lifted and extra compost added. Once done apart from watering, it was not touched for nearly 3 weeks, resulting in a luscious green, levelled lawn.
