Compact Living
The 90's Mid Terrace House had what could be argued as having 1.5 bedrooms. While the master bedroom allowed for a double bed, the 2nd bedroom due to its size could only house a single bed and bedside cabinet. The challenge was to add luxury on a budget without overwhelming the space.
With the master bedroom, before any paints were applied, the ceiling was re-plastered due to there being an artec effect. Once smoothed all the walls were prepped and paint added. Initially the room started life as a grey and white room.
We managed to source a wallpaper and complimentary bedside lighting along with putting low voltage lighting under the bed to add a night time glow / romance to the space.
About a month later the client had brought two new framed necklaces along a new Black bed spread. After initially putting up the frames we suggested given the new bed spread that it would tie the room together if we added some black to the walls as an accent. This lead us to retro painting the spaces either side of the grey wallpaper black which elevated the wall.
The 2nd bedroom was extremely small. It was a squeeze to fit a single bed due to its shape. A bespoke wardrobe was constructed on top of / over the stairwell box.Painted in a simple palette of green and black.
