Sweet (art Deco) Dream
After restoring the room fabric the next stage was to decorate. This room has been to date a labour love and it will be sometime before it is fully completed, but to date the floor has been laid in readiness for sanding, filling and sealing. A bespoke set of Art-deco inspired window ledges have been produced and installed and the room is slowly revealing its true potential.
Longer term the client is trying to source a Chesterfield Sofa that will unify the living room, but for now the features on the wall are a nod to look of the art -deco.
The feature desk was a star buy, £10 from an online auction site and was recently fully stripped and re-french polish by us. It now has center stage with a heap of period items upon it; includes a typewriter, bakerlite telephone, and glass vase 9
